Part 1 – Day 2: Your Hour of Power

The Key to Personal Transformation and Results

From the two forces that control our decisions (state and blueprint) today the focus is on the state. That is how you feel in any given moment.

The edge in life comes 80% from the psychology (your mind and your emotions) and 20% from mechanics or habits.

And sometimes the mechanics get on the way of success. To avoid that, we need to make time for ourselves.

Life will always get on the way the same way that gravity pushes us down to the floor. So in order to have a life we have to overcome that.

We all get what we have to have. We all get our musts, we don’t get our shoulds.

Tony Robbins

We need to have clear musts or we’ll live in “no man’s land”, where most of the people is. The place where you’re not happy with something but not unhappy enough to make a change.

The difference between the successful people and the not successful is the unreasonable psychology: something they believe it’s a must and they won’t settle for less. And of course it doesn’t have to be reasonable.

Once the psychology is settled the events don’t matter anymore because you’ll find the way. Problems will always come.

Problems are a part of life. Problems are what make us stronger. We will have different problems overtime, better quality problems, but they won’t disappear. They’re the resistance we need to push in order to grow our psychological muscles. As with our physical muscles, they expand by demand.

In other words, we train ourselves constantly. And the way we train is with our rituals (or habits).

👉 Take action

Write down the emotions you feel on a regular basis (at least once a week) and divide them into two columns: one with the empowering/positive emotions and the other with the disempowering/negative emotions.

So, how can we feel more of the emotions we like and less the ones we don’t like?
By changing our habits.

If you ask people what they want in their lives and dig enough, it’s always because they think that the thing they want will give them a feeling.

Eg:
What do you want? – A million dollars
Why? – Because I want to start my own business
Why? – Because it’s my dream since I was a child
Why? – Because I want to help others
Why? – Because they need help and no one is doing anything
Why you? – Because I’ll feel great doing it

And the good news is that you don’t have to wait for that feeling, you can have it right now.

Whatever you’re feeling right now -your state– comes from three things (aka. the triad):

Your body

Emotion comes from motion

If you stay completely still, it’s because you’re dead

Your focus or belief

Where focus goes energy flows

What’s wrong it’s always available, and so is what’s good

Your language

What do you tell to yourself and others?

If you ask lousy questions you’ll get lousy answers

“I never lose weight” -Never?
“The world is against me” -Really?

The hour of power is a training, a habit builder to establish mechanics that work to get the psychology you need for the ultimate edge. It consists of a series of exercises developed to change your focus, physiology and language.

The hour of power

[Click each module to expand it]

Wake up

As soon as the alarm goes off. Train yourself to wake up with energy.

Phase 1 – Move and breathe (5 minutes)

Walk for 5 minutes to warm up the body while breathing 4 times in through nose and 4 times out through mouth. It’ll change your physiology.

Phase 2 – Appreciation & visualisation (10 Minutes)

Start the day giving thanks. If you’re grateful you can’t be angry nor depressed.

Live and feel as if you’ve achieved what you want to achieve. The brain doesn’t know the difference and it’ll help to make that a reality.

Phase 3 – Exercise + incantations (30 minutes or more)

Working out in the morning puts your body and metabolism to work and the incantations get you in the right state and build new beliefs.

Celebrate

Reward yourself, you’ve completed an Hour of Power!

👉 Assignment

Do the Hour of Power, 30 Minutes to Thrive or 15 Minutes to Fulfilment tomorrow morning

By any means I think these notes are a substitute of their source, so if you try to learn just from here, you’re going to miss a lot of information.
Nevertheless, if you use them as a way to remember or clarify some ideas, they can be very helpful. At least they are for me and I hope they are for you too!
